FOR BUSINESS OWNERS WHO WANT TO KEEP THINGS RUNNING SMOOTHLY

What Would Happen to Your Business if You Weren’t Here to Run It?

Whether you’re a director, partner or sole trader, your business relies on you.

We help business owners put the right legal safeguards in place so that the people you trust can step in and keep things running if you lose capacity or pass away.

How We Help Business Owners Protect What They’ve Built

No Matter What Happens

Most business owners assume their partner or team could just take over
In reality — they legally can’t.

Decisions freeze

Access is blocked

Shares can’t always be sold, transferred or inherited

Without the right legal documents:

Your wishes may never be carried out

The people you care about could be left stuck, stressed or sidelined

Business Will

From

£599

A business will lets you decide what should happen to your company shares or interests separately from your personal estate. It can work well in some situations - but because it still goes through probate, it can also cause delays.
We’ll talk you through whether this route makes sense for your setup, or if another option would give you more certainty.

Cross-Option & Partnership Agreements

From

£250

These agreements give business owners far greater continuity and control. They set out exactly what happens to each partner’s share if one of you dies, so ownership stays with the right people and the business can keep running smoothly.
We’ll help you create a plan that protects both your business and your family from the practical chaos that often follows a death or loss of capacity.

Business Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA)

From

£599

A Business LPA lets someone you trust to run your business, make decisions and access accounts if you can’t - whether that’s due to illness, accident, or loss of capacity.

Without one, no one can legally act on your behalf, even temporarily. We’ll help you appoint the right person so your business keeps running smoothly whatever happens..

Both Business Wills and Cross-Option Agreements help business owners plan for what happens if they die or lose capacity - but they serve different purposes.

  • A Business Will protects your family and estate.

  • A Cross-Option Agreement protects your business and co-owners.

  • A Business Will lets you decide who inherits your share of the company.

  • It protects your beneficiaries and can include trusts, or guidance on how the business should be managed or sold. It can record how you prefer it managed or sold.

  • A Cross-Option Agreement focuses on business continuity.

  • It gives the remaining owners the right (but not the obligation) to buy your shares if you die or lose capacity, ensuring control stays within the business and your estate receives fair value.

You might need one or both - but knowing which applies to your situation could save your business time, money and stress later.
